A Couple Things You Might Like to Know…And Two Videos

So, in all of the Kobe heart-pounding excitement, I forgot to tell all of you that we finally got around to posting that Crown Royale Triple Patch card on ebay as well.  Unfortunately the market has dropped out some for this card, but hopefully we can get a nice little playoff rally going and get enough cash to still make that decision worthwhile.

For those that don’t know what the hell I’m talking about, let me fill you in.  The community decided that we would sell this particular card and then use the proceeds to buy a box of baseball cards to conduct a FREE group break!  That way, up to 30 people could be winners and not just one.  If you know hockey lovers who would be interested, feel free to promote the auction.  After all, you could benefit.  We’re also going to throw in the money garnered by our Mike Richards Razor’s Choice insert.

While we’re talking auctions, I also put my Jeter Auto from the Avant box up for bids.  Again, feel free to bid and/or promote, but this money is going solely to the “Get Jon Some Money That He Can Then Use To Buy His First Maddux Auto, And Hopefully More Than One Foundation.”  Also note that the GJSMTHCTUTBHFMAAHMTOF is NOT considering a name change.  The Jeter auction link is HERE.

Next order of business – posts and the like.  I’ve completed a couple trades recently and those will most likely be the last ones that I work out until after my wedding in, eeep…two weeks.  After that, I won’t have to worry about planning and double checking said plans, but I will have to worry about thanking and selling old stuff to make room for the new.  I’ll probably be posting a bunch on Craigslist, but if you bloggers out there need some used kitchen wares, I’m open to selling and shipping out of state.  Shameless plug, I know.

Anyway, posts and trades will still be light from me through May, I believe.  I know I’ve commented about trades or wanting cards on a few blogs.  I will eventually get back to you with an offer.  If you’re interested in something you’ve seen on the blog, I will eventually respond but for the time being, it’s easier to email with a full on offer rather than general interest.  Otherwise, expect a small delay.

I’m actually very close to getting my Kerry Wood, Frank Thomas, and Tony Gwynn want lists finished and up on my trade page.  The other three probably need some quick updating as well.  There’s a small chance this could be done before the wedding.

I count 16 trades/freebies that have been completed/sent to me that I still haven’t posted on this blog.  I want to get to these.  I will get to these.  Whether you want to read these is another matter, but I want to give people their propers, yo.

The Classics review/contest will be up this week sometime.  Hopefully mid-week.

Lastly, I bought some cards.  I decided that instead of opening them and letting them sit on my table, all the while kidding myself into believing that I would actually eventually post the contents in hopes of commenting on the hip new thing or to incite a trade or two, that I would open the goods on video for all to see and then offer up trades if they so desire.
