Cuz…apparently I’m the only one who has.
I submit as Exhibit “A” card #36 in the 09-10 Panini Prestige Basketball NBA Draft Class insert set. Nothing to write home (or on a blog) about normally, but you see this sucker doesn’t show up on the checklist included in the box.
It doesn’t show up on the checklist on Panini’s website.
It doesn’t show up on Beckett.com or on Zistle. It wasn’t part of Sportlots’ database until I asked them to include it.
I contacted Panini Customer Service online on 1/13/10, asking them why this wasn’t included in any checklist and are there possibly others in the set that weren’t. After 9 days of no response, I sent a follow-up stating: “It’s been 9 days, and still no response to this issue? I’m a little surprised. Still looking for assistance. Thanks.”
7 days after that, I get this response from Panini – “Hi Jon, I apologize for the delay in responding. The question has been forwarded to get an answer and I’ll let you know as soon as I hear back from them. Thank you for your patience.”
Does anyone out there think they can help me solve this problem before the company producing the cards can?
How long before I get an actual answer from Panini? Guess in the comments and the closest without going over will win some sort of basketball card related prize that we can work out after the fact.
I blame it on Panini’s growing pains. They kinda jumped into this and I don’t think they have the hand-holding they thought they would from the ex-Donruss folk. You can see that in the designs for the sets.
And, my thought is that – unless you follow up again – you will get no answer.

Yeah, but…Panini used to be so good when I was redeeming my sticker album doubles…
