I thought I would sneak in another post in between episodes of my Jordan cards countdown, but it’s not meant to be. Too many things to get done before leaving. Need a refresher? Tonight is the Oscars and Walking Dead, so when you read this on Monday know that I’m trying my damnedest to finish up the countdown by the end of the week. I’m leaving town on [...] We’re only a week or two removed from the biggest dog show of the year. Banana Joe the Affenpinscher took away Best in Show. Now he gets to make the rounds in the media and across the country to various other smaller dog shows. Sort of like the one that’s happening in Chicago this weekend. As I was writing up this post, I got a package from Cards on Cards that included a few more new Jordans in it. There were also a lot of other really cool b-ball goodies [...] My “In Defense Of” post garnered quite a bit of attention for the site. Chris Olds and Susan Lulgjuraj from Beckett, VOTC – c0-host of Cardboard Connection Radio, a couple card blogs and various twitterers all picked up on the article and helped promote and discuss the issue. When all was said and done we [...] Now that we’ve let my last article simmer a little bit, I think we’re all ready for something a little lighter and fun. Maybe I’ll start a discussion of another type. Sunday, February 17th, 2013 marked Michael Jordan’s 50th birthday. But you knew all of that already, I’m sure. If you’ve turned on any sports [...] All of us have different ways to organize our respective collections. You may sort by player, by team, by year, by set, by number, by picture quality, by uniform number, or any combination of those. You may put your cards in shoeboxes, card boxes, binders, toploaders, safes, or who knows what. But chances are if [...] What a difference a year makes. What a difference trading with kids makes. Despite knowing more people that were trying to complete the 2011 MLB sticker album, I wasn’t able to finish it off until after the 2012 book was released.
