2010-11 Panini Crown Royale Hockey Contest Winners Announced!

It’s finally here!  The contest that took forever to happen in the first place and then took forever to resolve has finally resolved itself!  So…didja win?  Check out this low-light, handheld webcam video of the randomization and find out.

Did you get sick trying to watch it?  That’s okay, because I have the breakdown in text form below.

#'d 138/499 & 154/499 respectively

On the left, we have the Kyle Palmieri autograph which went to Greg over at Plaschke, Thy Sweater is Argyle.  Second to enter and first to win.  He picked 300 as his royalty movie of choice.  That may be a little bit of a cheat, but I’ll allow it since this was all about getting creative and royalty was involved in some degree.

On the right, we have the Evgeny Grachev autograph going to Joey.  As I say in the video, if he has a blog, we don’t know about it.  Joey’s movie choice was even more of a cheat, picking Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle.  Let’s be honest though, almost all the movie picks were cheats in one way or another, but that’s what made this contest so fun.

044/100.

Lastly, we have the Viktor Stalberg on-“ice” auto, and that went to dogfacedgremlin.  The Real DFG picked Monty Python & the Holy Grail for his movie, which I thought was very fitting considering we got this box from the Knights who say (pa)Ni-Ni.  Bad pun, I know.  I think that’s my cue to get off the stage.

Anyway, thank you to everyone who participated and humored my whims.  Congratulations to our three winners!  It was an absolute blast reading everybody’s comments and seeing all the creativity that makes this blogging world of ours so much fun exhibited through your entries.  If you didn’t win this time, don’t worry, because we almost always have another contest in the works.  After all, Panini keeps sending us free stuff to review, so of course we’re going to share the wealth.
