Getting right into it, here’s the video for Box 2 in the Community Break – 2001 Fleer Platinum
How’d we do?
Well, on this box things went basically according to plan. We didn’t get any super rookies, and unfortunately for the team the The Mojo Beardy there were no Pujols or Ichiro rookies to be found. Has my streak of luck already come to an end? I’m not so sure. At least we got everything the box promised us. Here’s a pictorial breakdown.
The Campanella/Berra card is numbered out of 1000 and will be going to Night Owl. The Yankees were the unpaid team so they are now considered unclaimed which means there’s no need to random it off after all.
I went through the stacks to make sure there weren’t any other ones hiding that I missed, but there was not. Both the Smoltz and the Hudson are /201. Considering the checklist, we could have done much much worse in this department.
Great looking pinstripe of a great player on a just pretty nice looking card. I think we could have done worse on the hit as well. Congratulations, Damon!
Lastly, here are the dual team cards that will potentially be randomed off. Per my originally stated rules, the cards will go to the team without a hit. If both/neither have a hit, it will be randomed amongst all claimed teams. We know that the Orioles have a hit, but the Blue Jays may have something waiting in the wings (I’m not tipping my hand one way or another, even though I have the answer). I’ll deal with these after all the boxes are posted. If you want to give up your claim on a card, let me know in the comments section. There was a Rockies/Marlins dual, but nobody took the Marlins, so it’s all hiflew all the time there. The duals aren’t in the breakdown below, in case you were curious.
Next on the docket is the Fleer Authentix box, which sort of started it all up. I had a lot of fun opening that one. Check back Tuesday night to see if you like it as much as I did. And (hopefully if I get my act together), check back tomorrow for the start of our Crown Royale Hockey contest.

Go ahead and give that card to the Blue Jays, potential future hit be damned. Vernon Wells at least deserves to have a RC, and Chris Richard does not.
I think we did very well on the hit, that’s a beautiful looking card of a great player. I’m not a huge fan of the base design of this set, but it was still a great break to watch. Thanks for posting it up, looking forward to Authentix.
I came a Giambi SP short of the team set, but again got all the guys I really wanted. I was very happy with the Hudson pull 🙂
Love the Seaver! Thanks for doing this… Can’t wait to see the next video.
Esix Snead. What a great cricket name The name alone hurts your chances at the bigs.lol.
Fun break guys.. Cant wait for the next episode.
