I know, I know it’s been contest central over here for like a month and a half. But when Panini sends us some cards to review, we can’t help but go a little crazy.
This contest is all bout Americana. Panini Century Collection is a multi-sport/non-sport hybrid with some top-tier sports and celebrity autographs and relics. It’s the first product of its kind that Jon and I have ever opened and, retailing at around $180 per pack, it’s also the highest end. We’ll have a full review up after the contest, but first let’s tell you how to enter.
We’re doing this one on a point system. Also, a guessing system. The checklist is relatively small and, with only 6 cards in a pack, we’re giving you a chance to win the contents of the entire box! All you have to do is make a few guesses.
Since Century Collection contains a mixture of baseball players, old time movie stars and astronauts, simply tell us who you think we pulled. I’ll include the checklist below, but I’ll also give you some hints to help you along your way:
– We pulled 3 baseball players (two HOF). One pitcher, two hitters. Alas, no cuts, and all players are living.
– We puled 1 single and one dual movie star relic, for three different movie stars of the silver screen golden age.
– We pulled one astronaut card (alas, not an auto).
So, to submit your guess, simply leave a comment below with 3 baseball players, 3 movie stars and one astronaut from the checklist. Each correct answer nets 5 points and the person with the most points wins the whole kit ‘n’ kabaoodle! Make sure to leave an email address or website where we can reach you or, if you have privacy concerns, make sure to check back on Friday, January 21st 2011 when we will post the winners. We’ll be accepting entries right up until 11:59PM CST on Thursday, January 20th DEADLINE EXTENDED TO JANUARY 23rd 11:59PM CST so keep ’em comin’! The checklist is below. Start your Americengines!
